Cowabunga Dude!

In an effort to at least mentally leave the snow and ice that is currently outside my window, I created a new summery, surfer-inspired card kit with bright summer colors of red, blue, yellow, and green.

And I'm calling this kit, Cowabunga!

There are four different color combinations for both the male and female surfers and their boards on the cards, plus some filler cards and journal cards to match. And solids of the four main colors as well.

On this page, the top left pocket is actually designed for a photo and doesn't have the option to pull in a card (if using an official PL card kit). But since bringing non-PL cards into a page is done as if everything is a photo, it worked perfectly to do so. I did want to have the surfer girl image on the left side of the card, though, so I used the Pic-Tap-Go option with in the PL app to make a mirror image of the card to get her on the left.

For the page above, I left the top right and bottom left pockets of this page template (Big Shot 20) empty. Then because I had chosen white as my page background color, when I exported the page, those empty pockets filled in with white. The whole page has a seamless look to it, because I also have the drop shadow feature in the PL app turned off. 

This last page was made by my friend Jessica Mitchell, since I honestly have never been surfing and so didn't have any pictures of my own to scrapbook with, and she helped me out with some photos from her Hawaii trip! Here she used only the filler cards from the kit for her page, and it worked out really well I must say.
